| CASIQUE CHIMAN The Chimán (also known as the Tsimane’ or Chimane) are an indigenous people of the Bolivian Amazon, primarily inhabiting the Beni Department, near the foothills of the Andes in the tropical lowland forests. They have traditionally lived in the remote rainforests and savannahs, following a semi-nomadic lifestyle based on hunting, fishing, foraging, and small-scale agriculture. |
